Liebster Award

What is this? Another blogpost on the same day?
Yes, because I've been nominated for the Liebster Award.

For those of you who don't know what the Liebster Award is, it's kind of like a TAG, but a bit different. The Liebster award is a great way to discover new blogs. However, there are a few rules:

1. The person nominated must acknowledge the person who nominated you.
2. You have to write 11 facts about yourself.
3. Answer the 11 questions that the nominator asked.
4. Nominate 11 bloggers with less than 200 followers.
5. Create 11 questions which your nominated bloggers need to answer.
6. Let the 11 chosen bloggers know you've nominated them for the Liebster award.

So a few days ago I've been nominated by the beautiful Sophie from WhatSophieSays and I got really exited to do this. I think this award is so much fun, because you get to know new blogs and can ask bloggers you follow a couple of questions.

Let's start with the 11 facts about myself:

1. I'm 173cm which is around 5ft8 I believe. For many of you this might seem quite tall, but since I'm Dutch and Dutch people are usually tall, I'm smaller than most of my friends.
2. In my family we all have different hair colours. My father has black hair, my mom's hair is a dark brown with a hint of red, my little sister is blonde and I've got light to medium brown hair. I think this is very funny, since usually at least two people have a similar hair colour.
3. I still don't know what my eye colour is. It's kind of a mixture between grey, blue and green with tiny golden brown parts in the middle which you can only see when my pupils are small. The question: "What's my eye colour?" Usually leads to loads of different answers.
4. I'm extremely bad at saving money. If I've got money, I need to spend it, ending up being broke within two weeks after pay day. This broke period usually leads to creating an endless list of things I want to buy when it's pay day again.
5. I'm a little bit of a big Harry Potter geek. I can't help it, without learning I remember probably 85% of all the spells, even after not watching Harry Potter for a year. I don't know how or why, but I whish learning for an exam was just as easy, because that takes me ages. I just realised I even remember Harry's parseltongue words.
6. For some weird reason my eyes get really teary when I see glitter. Not a pot of glitter, but just a single glitter sitting on your desk or on someone's face. I've got the same with oily hair. I think it has something to do with the light that irritates my eyes.
7. Shock horror! I don't own any MAC lipsticks. Every time I pop into MAC determined to buy a lipstick, I see so many pretty colours I'm overwhelmed and don't know which one to pick and leave empty handed or with an eye shadow instead.
8. I don't like my own birthday's, but I love other people's birthdays. I just always feel awkward and don't like getting present when I've got nothing to give back.
9. I think too fast for my own mouth and end up messing up a lot of words, because I combine them or use a word from the next sentence which I've yet got to say, but have already planned in my head.
10. I've never been to a wedding, but I want to go to one so badly.
11. I don't have a closet. My clothing is stored in a few wooden boxes standing next to and on top of each other, with a clothing rack on top.

Next up are the eleven questions asked by Sophie:

1. What's in your bag?
So I emptied my bag and made a picture from everything in my bag. This is the bag I brought with me to school yesterday and this is what was inside it:

From top to bottom, left to right:
1. My bag. Black with gold studs, from a Dutch store called Van Haren. 2. Pack of tissues. Unopened. 3. Umbrella. For those rainy days. 4. Diary or agenda. I'm supposed to write homework in this, but I usually forget. 5. Calculator. Very fancy. 6. Sunglasses. For those sunny days. Cheap ones from Wibra. 7. Wallet. Without money, because it has been more than two weeks since pay day. 8. Case for glasses from H&M. Currently used to carry pens, pencils and markers. 9. French to Dutch dictionary. I had a French test yesterday. 10. Bottle of Crystal Clear Cranberry and Lemon. My favourite drink. 11. An almost empty package of mints. 12. Maybelline Babylips. My favourite chapstick ever. 13. Maybelline Fit Me foundation stick. Perfect to touch up foundation during school, because no brush is needed. 14. Phone. Iphone4. Needed to survive a school day. 15. Deodorant. Dove roller and Dove spray. Roller is easier to use when wearing tight clothes, but I prefer using sprays in general. 16. A single Bobby pin. 17. HEMA lip gloss in 02 and Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 101. 18. Two USB sticks. One heart shaped, which I find really cute. 19. Tiny perfume bottle. Calvin Klein Sheer Beauty. 20. Some trash. Test paper, jewellery bag which contained the cutest bracelet given to me by a friend, price tag from a necklace I bought over a week ago.
And that's it. Those were the contents of my bag.

2. What's your favourite lipstick?
Topshop lipstick in Macaroon, a very pretty coral colour.

3. What's your favourite TV show?
Orphan Black, Game of Thrones, The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Pretty Little Liars, New Girl, in no particular order. I love them all equally. I also love Gossip Girl and The Secret Circle, but those have ended ): But my all time favourite TV show is Wie is de mol? A Dutch TV series where famous people need to do all kind of assignments, but there's one person trying to make the assignments fail and the others and viewers need to find out who that person is. It's really good.

4. What is your best beauty or fashion tip?
Don't apply blusher to the apples of the cheek, but on the cheekbone. On some people, including me, this looks way better.

5. Do you have any pets?
Yes, my sister and I both have our own cat and I love them so much. It gives you so much satisfaction when you sit on the couch watching TV and your cat is sleeping on your lap.

6. Do you prefer to wear flats or heels?
I prefer heels, but wear flats very often too. Heels make me taller than my boyfriend, which he doesn't like, but I don't care, hihi.

7. What's your favourite chocolate bar?
Chocolate Letters! They are Dutch and only available during Sinterklaas, a Dutch holiday, quite similar to Santa Claus, and they are the best. You usually get them as a present in the first letter of your name, for me that's an A. The chocolate of chocolate letters is just the best.

8. When do your write your posts?
I don't have a  special time of the day or the week when I write my posts. But usually in the weekend or late at night. My post from yesterday I wrote in school, oops.

9. Tell us something your parents don't know?
This question is a hard one. I'm not someone who tells their parents every little thing, but I stopped hiding things from them as well. A few years back I was great at that, but now I've grown up.. I guess.
Something they don't know... I honestly can't think of anything. I'm sorry.

10. What's your favourite make up product?
My Lancôme Hypnose Mascara, which I got as a present from my boyfriend last Christmas. But I got the naked 3 palette today and something tells me I'm going to love that even more.

11. Do you have any phobias?
Yes, and a really weird one that is. I can't stand it when people touch their throats. I get the feeling like I'm being chocked and can't breath and it has leaded to hyperventilation a couple of times. I'm getting better at it know, but I have to close my eyes when someone's throat is being cut in a movie, otherwise I'll feel sick for the rest of the day. Sweeney Todd is definitely not my kind of movie.
Even thinking about it makes me feel like I can't breathe.
I've never heard anyone else about this phobia and I don't know where it came from, but I've got is for as long as I can remember, even as a little kid.

And those were the questions asked by Sophie.

The people I nominate are:

Their blogs are amazing and they're such sweet people, I really suggest checking their blogs out.

The questions the nominees need to answer are:

1. Who is your favourite Disney character?
2. Describe or post a picture of your worst outfit as a child.
3. Favourite online clothing shop?
4. What is your favourite breakfast?
5. What is your favourite flower?
6. If you could only wear one piece of jewellery for the rest of your life, what would it be? (Wedding rings excluded)
7. Feel good food?
8. Favourite OTP? (TV shows and movies only)
9. What do you appreciate most about your parents?
10. Do you have a boyfriend/girlfriend? If yes, what is his/her best quality?
11. What time do you usually go to bed?

And that concludes this post. I loved doing this and again, check out the blogs of the nominees, they're amazing.

Love you all! Bye!!!

~Xx
